About the opportunity
Programme: 10 weeks in Core Development. Longer and off-cycle placements may also be considered.
What you will do
- Design, code, test, and maintain production software for Jump's real-time trading platform.
- Work through the full development, testing, and release cycle.
- Work alongside experienced engineers with ongoing mentorship.
Core skills
- Strong C++ on Linux and/or Python on Linux.
- Linux command-line and Git experience.
- Knowledge of data structures and threading models.
- Interest in hardware, networking, operating systems, and high-performance software.
- Reliable and predictable availability.
Useful experience: Rust; algorithms, network programming, operating systems, or compilers; gRPC; Kafka or Redpanda; eBPF; DPDK; ClickHouse; FastAPI; Kubernetes; Pandas; SQL/MySQL/DuckDB; Arrow; and Claude Code.
No finance or economics background is required. International students are encouraged to apply.
